Since 2015, my team and I have been working remotely without fixed offices. This way of working allows us to be independent and flexible in terms of time and to make better use of our individual strengths but also creates space for challenges.
To overcome those challenges such as the limited opportunity for spontaneous interaction or the risk of isolation and loss of team spirit, good communication is crucial.
In my opinion the five most important points for efficient communication and collaboration with a fully remote team are:

Regular virtual meetings are great to discuss projects, maintain communication within the team, work on tasks together and generally create a relaxed atmosphere for conversations.

Lastly, remote work is based on trust. With regular briefings, feedback and status updates our team can work flexible and increase its efficiency to support creativity and productivity.
