3 - To Be Pleasing to God | God's Love and Justice

God loves every person unconditionally, but not everything they do. That is why God is love and justice in one. We have seen that the relationship between God and man is a working relationship: man should live from God, take from him and bring everything back to him. Love should be the motivation from which he acts.

Through self-deception in the heart, man thinks he has a choice where he has none. He believes he has the freedom to choose, when in reality he is trapped. Through the deception of the heart, the automatism of dependence is reversed to Satan and man and man no longer lives from God's word but dies from the words of man. Negative feedback, such as a bad diagnosis from the doctor, can have devastating effects. People only have limited options and often act against their will. But God offers a way out through Jesus Christ. We are born with self-deception, but through faith we can recognize the truth about ourselves and come out of it.

In the parable of the prodigal son, despite the loss of his son, the father runs to meet him and receives him with joy. The son loses the father's inheritance just as Adam once did, and since he thinks it is his inheritance, he does what he wants with it and ultimately loses everything. The father creates a new inheritance - a new life - and rejoices at his return. In order to return to God, man must recognize that the innate error “I am God” destroys him. This often only happens in times of crisis or illness, which can ultimately be seen as a blessing. In the third part of the series “God's love and justice”, all of this is discussed in more detail.
