13 - The Triumph of God's Love | The Great Controversy

Will the age-old battle that Lucifer unleashed in heaven come to a victorious end? The change of identity, in Lucifer and the fallen angels as well as in humans, leads to dysfunction. True identity is the connection to the source of love outside of one's own spirit. By hereditary law, all newborns are burdened with a faulty attachment to humans and Satan, resulting in illness. Our expectations of others to fulfill our needs are unfulfillable. God creates a new connection to man through Jesus Christ by removing the error from the mind and creating a new man. In this new life, there is no more self-deception.

It is offered to everyone by God's grace. To accept it, we must recognize and give up our self-deception. This often only happens in crises, when we see that our selfishness leads to self-destruction and love leads to life. Illness shows us that we are acting self-destructively. We observe God's plan of redemption and Satan's attempts to hold us captive. The final crisis will be brought about by deception. The crucial question will be on whom we are dependent. Outwardly, this will be sealed by the choice between Sabbath and Sunday. We take a closer look at the motivations of love and selfishness. Ultimately, good will prevail because evil cannot withstand it. In the thirteenth part of the series 'The Great Controversy', we will explain in more detail what this means.
