The idea arose within Lucifer's spirit that he could be God. This idea was possible because God had no access to Lucifer's inner self. He could only make him realize through the law and his creation that his wish was impossible. When Lucifer went on despite all the warnings, he could no longer be saved.
What about man?
Self-deception arose in man without the full realization of God's love. In contrast to Lucifer, there are therefore means for man to get out of this error:
Effects of self-deception: God allows these with mercy, e.g. through illnesses that show us our wrong thinking.
Revelation of his law and his creation: God shows us how everything works.
Redemption through Jesus Christ: Self-deception is overcome through him.
Creation of a new man: In this one, self-deception can no longer arise.
Awareness: God helps people to recognize these points so that they can make a decision.
God's first work is to make man aware of his innate error. If he recognizes this, he can accept the truth and discard the error. This requires a change in thinking: he must understand that he is wrong and that love does not come from himself.
The most difficult tasks of God are
To make people aware of their inner error.
To convince him that he cannot live from himself.
To make him realize that life in Christ is true eternal life.
Examples from the history of Israel (e.g. 2 Chronicles 30, Nehemiah 9, Matthew 21 and 23) show that the hurdle to salvation does not lie in God's work, but in the realization of one's own condition. The rejection of God's offer leads to condemnation. No one will have an excuse in the end. The eleventh part of the series “God's love and justice” deals with these topics and their significance for us humans.
